About

I decided to create this publication outside the standard of other portfolio articles. That’s because I consider it too interesting to leave off my website. The selection of these 4 stores, based on the segment case they represent for me, demonstrates a continuous learning curve in a specific area of ​​virtual sales. And it makes perfect sense to meet them here like this.

It all started with the development of Iron Studios, a reference in Brazil for the hobby of varied collectibles and pop culture. When launched, the store interface was highly praised by critics and fans of the brand at the time. It soon became one of the main sources of inspiration for other competitors in Brazil. For Rakuten itself, the platform that hired me for the service, it was a new market to be explored, and the success of the Iron Studios online store brought new customers very quickly.

Next came MiniCo., Bandai and Limited Edition. All from the same collectibles and pop culture segment. Upon receiving so many demands from the same segment, I ended up becoming an expert in the field, the immersion was spectacular, and as a result we were able to build excellent interfaces for the stores, each with its own personality.

Stories told for the projects, a brief summary.

Iron Studios
Created in 2012, Iron Studios is a developer and producer of highly detailed collectible figures. The first Brazilian company with official products 100% aimed at collectors. In a segment that has been growing a lot worldwide, Iron Studios focuses its work on the national market, full of fans passionate about their favorite pop culture characters and the hobby of collecting. All professionals who participate in the creation and development of figures share the same passion as our consumers and, therefore, always seek the highest level of fidelity and perfectionism in each project. With the acquisition of new licenses, Iron Studios is further expanding its line of products and characters, winning over new and different types of collectors every day.

MiniCo.
The newest collectibles company on the market, MiniCo., was born with the purpose of bringing items from the most beloved film franchises, TV series and comics in mini collectible format to the market, meeting the demand of collectors who like small products , but of high standard.

Bandai
Founded in 1950, Bandai is one of the largest toy manufacturers in existence, reaching all continents, monthly releases, and has several worldwide licenses (Disney, Marvel, DCComics, various Anime/Manga and Tokusatsu series).

Limited Edition
Born in 2009, Limited Edition seeks to provide its audience with the largest and best variety of collectibles in the world. Our collection has collectibles for all audiences and ages. We have everything from extremely rare and limited pieces to fun pieces that add a more casual touch to your collection.

Tools

High-fidelity wireframes were built as a basis for platform customization

As I had already customized a series of other stores for the Rakuten platform, I built a Wireframe Base as a starting point for a new project. Agile methodology carried out within Sketch, optimizing execution time. It is a visual Grid of the tool’s behavior, which can be customized with the particularities of the project when passed through the development team.
